Hi I was given this computer by my brother not too long ago and recently it has been giving me the problem at start up saying that my CPU fan is Abnormal and caused some problems booting my computer, now to only have my computer randomly shut off after it sounds as if my fan is running at a very high speed.

I dont know all of the stats of my computer as it was given to me and I dont know how to figure all of them out.

all I have for now unless someone can tell me how to find what kind of motherboard I have..

the stars I know is that im running on windows XP home edition service pack 3
intel pentium 4, 2.80 GHZ
2.79 GHZ and 0.99 GB of ram.
i got that from my system information.

if anyone has any ideas that would be appreciated....
