Hope someone can help!
I have a HP Omnibook 900b laptop. Sound driver installed and recognized by XP. However I get no sound at all. I tried to plug in earphones to see if its just the speaker but that had no sound either. Sometimes i'll hear a little hiss or crackle. Could it be windows xp detecting the wrong driver? I tried some generic drivers but they fixed nothing. I don't think it can be the speaker since a) i can hear hissing out of it and b)the headphone jack doesnt produce sound either. I'm stuck...any help would be greatly appreciated.
