Hiya
Which PSU would suit the following build best:
Antec Earthwatts 380W or Antec Earthwatts 430W?
Build is:
Case:
Antec Solo
Motherboard:
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3
Processor:
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2180
Memory:
Kingston Value DDR2 PC2 5300 2x1GB
Hard Disk:
Seagate 250GB SATA 16MB Cache
Optical Drive:
LG DVDRW
Graphics Card:
Point of View 8400GS
OS:
Windows Vista Home Premium OEM 32Bit
Cooling Fans:
Antec 92mm DBB Tricool Fan
This pc probably won't be upgraded at all. Only the ram and probably a PCI wifi card in the future. PSU calc comes out at 250W. Is the 380W cutting it a bit fine?
Thanks
Georgewhat do you plan to do with the computer? general usage, games, or other?
Between the two choices go with 430 but...I personally would go a little higher because inspite of what you think now, you really never know what the future holds for your computer. Thanks for the reply. It will be general use: internet, office applications, that sort of thing. The only upgrade i've planned is probably up to 4x1GB of RAM to get Vista running in the "sweet spot".
I think i'll go with the 430W just to be on the safe side. Thanks for your help.i doubt a 430w will give you enough amps on the 12v line
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371002On their website it gives it as having two 12v rails each with 17A. Is this not enough?
Is their anything cheaper you could recommend?that will give you approx 27a available
only gave you as a guide
